Southern California Military Golf League
The SCMGL currently has six clubs, however, there are seven teams due to Seal Beach having two teams. The basic premise for organizing the SCMGL is to encourage the exchange of camaraderie and competition among the League’s Clubs. Any member of the Pendleton Men’s Golf Association (PMGA) with a handicap under 37 may participate. Active duty or retired females who are members of the Pendleton Ladies Golf Association (PLGA) are also eligible to play.
The League’s season starts in March and runs through September. Each team plays two matches per month; one at home and one away. Each team is made up of 20 players but can have as few as fourteen. At the end of the season there is a Year-End Tournament involving all League Clubs. At the luncheon after the tournament, a perpetual trophy is presented to the team that won the League.
